Hybrid Cycling Technology is a system that combines electric power with human power to produce the most efficient, powerful and natural E-bike riding experience. It’s a seamless extension of a rider’s own power that sets Liv and Giant E-bikes apart from other “electric” bicycles. The system consists of four key innovative technologies that work in unison with your own body’s power output—a seamless extension of your own capabilities.

This console features two rows of lights and a power button and is integrated into the top tube to display mode and battery level at a glance. It functions on its own as a minimalist control panel or it can work in tandem with the RideControl Ergo 3, providing an additional way of selecting your support mode.

Liv’s Smart Assist Technology is optimized to offer the best possible riding experience for every rider. It’s used in our SyncDrive Pro, SyncDrive Sport, SyncDrive Core, and SyncDrive Move series motors. The Smart Assist is the pinnacle of smart support systems. By using information from multiple sensors, both rider input and terrain feedback are used to provide flawless, automatic support adjustment for the optimal amount of assistance. This ensures that the system provides ample power when you need it, while conserving power when you don’t need as much. This results in an extremely smooth, powerful, and reliable riding experience. Translating six measurements about your riding, this adds the perfect amount of power at just the right time. The result is an extremely fluid riding experience that feels like riding a standard bike but with so much more “oomph.”

This updated motor features a magnesium casing that reduces weight to just 2.5kg while still delivering 85Nm of torque and retaining the instant engagement that characterizes SyncDrive Pro motors. It’s also engineered for a reduced noise level and quiet performance. The motor shape and dimensions allow for a narrow Q factor to ensure a natural pedaling position with minimal strain on the knees.
